As someone with a very thin knowledge base on business and business practices, I nonetheless found the Tesco case very thought-provoking for the questions it raises about how norms and practies related to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) spread and take root in different cultural contexts. It will also be very interesting to track over time whether a distinctly Korean CSR takes shape, and whether that will be shaped even further when implemented in Tesco’s operations in other cultural contexts, such as the Malaysian, Chinese, and Turkist cases mentioned in the related attachment.
