Vancouver-based Fireswirl Technologies, which specializes in the development, implementation and management of e-commerce and m-commerce applications, has signed an agreement with XingChang XinDa Technology Development Co. Ltd., of China, which operates the online stores for companies such as Motorola and Nokia. Under the agreement, which is through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Fireswirl Technologies (Shenzhen) Co. Ltd., Fireswirl will acquire a 50% interest in the company for approximately six million common shares.

Burlington-based IPICO Inc., a radio frequency identification (RFID) solution provider, announced that Kernex Microsystems (India) Ltd. will deploy a RFID and anti-collision system for railway cars using IPICO’s IP-X based UHF passive tags and readers. Kernex is a technology company focused on the development and implementation of  automated systems for Metro Sky-Bus Urban Transportation System, Advanced Railway Signal Systems and other safety systems. IPICO produces smart labels and tags based on the IP-X communication protocol.

Ottawa-based March Networks Corp., a provider of intelligent IP video and business analysis applications, announced that Australia Pacific Airports Melbourne Pty. Ltd. is expanding its existing March Networks CCTV system significantly and enhancing surveillance and monitoring capabilities with the company’s VideoSphere solution. Melbourne Airport staff are using the March Networks systems to monitor activities in real-time and quickly access archived video from a centralized control room.
