Canada-Asia Relations and the Young Generation

Abstract

For most Canadians, the Canada-Asia relationship is an afterthought, and mainstream notions often remain rooted in outmoded culturalist perspectives that see little beyond parades and ethnic enclaves. However, the younger generation is far more aware of Canada’s Asian heritage and its contemporary relationship, and look to what may emerge as one of our most important future relationships.
