Abstract:

A survey article by Dr. Ryan Touhey, Graduate Student Fellow with the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada covering bilateral relations between Ottawa and New Delhi from 1947 to the present. The article explains the trends in Canada’s historical and contemporary relationship with India with specific emphasis on the troubles that plagued bilateral ties between the two countries and efforts since 2001 to reinvent a historically fraught relationship.
