Ottawa-based March Networks Corporation, a provider of intelligent IP video and business analysis applications, announced that the Australian Customs and Border Protection Service has selected the company’s VideoSphere solution to enhance its security operations in multiple airports across the country. The integrated systems include March Networks’ Video Management System software and Edge encoders, as well as host and storage servers from Sun Microsystems.

Toronto-based Interac Association, a national debit network, and China Unionpay, a national bank card payment network in China, will jointly provide a new service allowing cardholders of China Unionpay the option of withdrawing cash from participating ABM service providers in Canada. The two networks will link up through a gateway to reduce the development costs for Canadian providers. Access to the new service is open to all interested Canadian ABM service providers. The ABM service for China Unionpay cardholders is currently offered by CIBC and Open Solutions.

Saskatoon-based International Road Dynamics Inc., a highway traffic management technology company specializing in supplying products and systems to the global Intelligent Transportation Systems industry, announced that it has been awarded two contracts for the design and implementation of integrated tolling and traffic management systems in India. The first contract, awarded by Madhucon Projects Ltd., is to set up a tolling plaza and provide an integrated traffic management solution in Tamil Nadu.
