Asia in the Post Sub-Prime World Order

Abstract:

Keynote Speech at the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) Annual Conference on “China in the Shifting World Order” at Waterloo, Ontario on October 26, 2008.  It discusses the role of China and the rest of Asia in the reordering of the global financial system in light of changes that have been underway in Asia at least since 1997.  It also looks at the implications for Canada of these realignments.
