Thanks for this Ted Lipman and to APF for profiling this important and emerging strength of philanthropy in Asia. Several years ago at a Whistler Forum symposium on Governance in Asia we had among our thought leaders Barnett Baron EVP of the Asia Foundation based in San Francisco. He has published and taught much on the rise and benefit of international philanthropy. At the time there seemed little he could draw on from Canada. Thankfully now, with The Robert Ho Family Foundation, Ted’s work and others, that is changing.
