Pyng Medical to Expand Global Distribution Network to India
Vancouver-based Pyng Medical Corp., a supplier of sternal intraosseous infusion devices, announced the expansion of its exclusive dealer network to India. vTitan Corporation Private Limited becomes Pyng’s first exclusive distribution relationship in India. vTitan is engaged in the design, development, manufacture, distribution and sale of a broad range of medical devices and consumables used in global healthcare markets.
Lab Research Signs Preferred Provider Agreement with Japanese Pharma Company
Laval-based Lab Research Inc. (LRI), a Canadian-based non-clinical contract research organization, announced that it has entered into a preferred provider agreement (PPA) with a Japanese pharmaceutical company. Under the PPA, the Canadian site of LRI will be providing its full suite of services to the Japanese client and more specifically to recognized expertise in general toxicology, infusion, drug metabolism and safety pharmacology. As part of the PPA, LRI will also be providing dedicated program management resources, annual volume discounts, preferential scheduling and reporting timelines, as well as other operational advantages.
Imax Signs Contracts for up to 14 Theatres in Russia
Imax Corporation and Cinema Park, the exhibition chain owned by a Russian media holding company, Profmedia, announced an agreement to install up to 14 Imax theatre systems throughout Russia, beginning in 2010. The first three Cinema Park Imax locations will open prior to the end of 2010, followed by another seven by the end of 2012. The exhibitor has the option to add another four Imax systems in addition to the 10 that are committed. Most of the locations will be in regional markets throughout Russia, expanding the Imax network beyond the areas of greater Moscow and St. Petersburg.
MacDonald, Dettwiler Extends UAV Service for Australian Defence Forces
BC-based MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. , a provider of information solutions, announced that the Australian Defence Force (ADF) has signed a contract amendment to extend its unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) capabilities. Under the amendment, MDA will provide a second year of UAV surveillance operations for the ADF’s deployed forces in Afghanistan. The timeframe for this extension is January through December 2011.
C-COM Satellite Systems Receives $2.3 Million Order from Asia
Ottawa-based C-COM Satellite Systems Inc. a global provider of mobile auto-deploying satellite antenna systems, announced that it has received a single order valued at $2.3 million for its iNetVu mobile antenna systems from one of its Asian resellers. The order is expected to be completed prior to the end of November. C-COM Satellite Systems Inc. develops and deploys commercial grade mobile satellite-based technology for the delivery of two-way high-speed Internet, VoIP and video services into vehicles.
