The difficulties facing Hong Kong as it tries to develop a democratic system under the shadow of China is analyzed in a new publication from the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada released today. Accountability in Hong Kong: Transiting from Colony to Democracy is the latest in a research series called Canada in Asia that deals with the issues affecting Canada-Asia relations and the implications for public policy.
