APEC Countries to Study Energy Security

The Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum, which groups 21 Asia Pacific economies, including Canada, will hold seminars on energy security as a result of rising crude oil prices. At a meeting in Cuzco, Peru, members of the forum discussed how to stabilize the price of crude oil, use and store energy more efficiently, cooperate in energy conservation, and develop alternative sources of energy.
