Cathay Forest Announces Appointment of Chairman of the Board

Toronto-based Cathay Forest Products Corp. announced that it has appointed Dr. Thomas Chan as Chairman of the Board of Directors, effective immediately. Dr. Chan was Cathay Forest’s Director starting in April 2011. In addition, he also directs the Public Policy Research Institute and is the Head of Hong Kong Polytechnic University’s China Business Centre. Cathay Forest is a forestry products company that manages standing timber properties and develops fast-growth, high yield poplar plantations in China and Russia.
