Domtar Plans For Two Paper Converting Operations To Open in Guangdong in 2012
Domtar Inc., a Montreal-based pulp and paper company, has announced that it will be expanding its presence in China by opening two converting, sales and distribution businesses in Guangdong in early 2012. Currently, it sells up to US$700 million worth of pulp to China from Kamloops, B.C. Domtar plans to invest $35 million in the project. It is expected that the paper that will be cut and rolled will be sourced from China.
