Electrovaya and Hero Electric Sign MOU for Zero-Emission Battery 2-Wheelers

Toronto-based Electrovaya Inc. announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Hero Electric of India for the electrification of two-wheeler vehicles using Electrovaya’s Lithium Ion SuperPolymer battery technology. The MOU sets out the general principals of a joint venture for zero-emission battery electric scooters and motorcycles. Hero Electric is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hero Group, a large two-wheeler manufacturer. Electrovaya designs, develops and manufactures proprietary Lithium Ion SuperPolymer batteries, battery systems, and battery-related products for the clean transportation, smart grid power and consumer and healthcare markets.
