GLG Life Tech Granted Patent Rights for Refining Technology in China

Qingdao Runde Biotechnology Company, a subsidiary of Vancouver-based GLG Life Tech Corporation, has received full patent protection of its refining method for the extraction of high-purity stevioside (STV) by the State Intellectual Property Bureau of China. It is expected that this patent will enable the company to increase production of its high-purity STV to meet specifications and volumes required for the China Sugar Reserve low calorie sugar product. GLG Life Tech is a supplier of stevia, a natural sweetner.
