Manitoba Government Provides $100,000 for Philippine Relief Effort

Manitoba Premier Greg Selinger announced that the provincial government is providing $100,000 in funding to the Manitoba Council for International Co-operation (MCIC) for relief work as a result of the devastation caused by the recent tropical storm in the Philippines. Early estimates suggest the tropical storm Wahsi has claimed close to 1,000 lives and there is an ongoing high risk of water-borne illness.
