Marubeni of Japan Teams Up with Canadian Companies to Ship Natural Gas

Marubeni, one of Japan’s largest trading houses, announced that it has formed a strategic partnership with Teekay Shipping and Sea NG, both of Canada, to promote commercialization of a new method of shipping natural gas. Sea NG holds patents for the Coselle System, a technology for specially designed ships and compressed natural gas containers. Teekay is a large shipper of natural gas. Marubeni will sell ships and support commercialization of the new technology through its global network.
