Minister of National Defence to Visit China

John McCallum, Minister of National Defence, will visit China from September 5th to 11th where he will meet the Chinese Minister of National Defence, General Cao Gangchuan; the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Li Zhaoxing; and other government and military officials. Minister McCallum will discuss Canada-China defence relations, Asia-Pacific regional security, and Canada’s contribution to the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan and to the international campaign against terrorism.
