Ontario’s Avivagen Signs Distribution Deal in Thailand

Ottawa-headquartered Avivagen Inc. has signed a distribution agreement for its OxC-beta livestock feed in Thailand with the Feed and Ingredients Technology Hub (FAITH), a member of the BIS Group of Companies. The agreement covers Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Indonesia, and allows FAITH to immediately distribute in Thailand as well as Myanmar and Cambodia, as both these countries follow Thailand's regulatory authority, and where Avivagen has already obtained regulatory approval. OxC-Beta, based on beta-carotene, the same carotenoid that gives carrots their vivid orange hue, acts as natural alternative to antibiotics in animal feed. The Asia Pacific region, with a growing middle class and annual feed consumption of 381 million tonnes, representing 35.6 per cent of the world's total.
