Sensio Technologies and CyberLink of Taiwan Sign LOI to Integrate Sensio S3D into PowerDVD Videoplayer

Montreal-based Sensio Technologies Inc. announced that it has signed a letter of intent (LOI) to integrate its S3D software decoder into Taipei-based CyberLink Corp.’s PowerDVD videoplayer. PowerDVD is a DVD, Blu-ray Disc and AVCHD movie player software application. The Sensio and CyberLink solution will enable consumers to view movies on their computer in 3D and will be on demonstration as early as January 2010. The companies have committed to work together in promoting their solution with studios and standardization bodies and jointly pursue promotional efforts at upcoming trade fairs. CyberLink develops software solutions that enable digital multimedia on PCs and CEs. Sensio develops and markets stereoscopic 3D digital compression, decompression and display formatting technologies.
