Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada Experts Available for Comment on PM Harper’s Visit to Thailand, Japan and South Korea

Vancouver, BC - March 20, 2012 - Story: Prime Minister Stephen Harper will visit Thailand, Japan and South Korea from March 21 to 26, 2012. Canada’s efforts to enhance trade and investment with Asia will be in the spotlight as Prime Minister Harper engages in bilateral and regional free trade talks with key partners during his visit. The Nuclear Security Summit in Seoul will heighten attention on Canada’s multilateral co-operative efforts to combat the threat of nuclear terrorism and more generally, raise questions about Canada’s engagement on security matters in Asia.
