The Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada Offers Condolences on the Passing of Jim Flaherty

Vancouver, BC – April 10, 2014 – The Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada (APF Canada) expressed condolences today to the family and friends of The Honourable Jim Flaherty, PC, who passed away today in Ottawa. Mr. Flaherty was Canada’s 37th Minister of Finance and Member of the Canadian Parliament from 2006-2014. Previously, he served as an MPP in Ontario for 10 years.

“We at the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada were deeply saddened to hear of Mr. Flaherty’s passing,” said Mr. Yuen Pau Woo, President and CEO of APF Canada, “Mr. Flaherty was an impressive leader with a remarkable commitment to public service. His adept stewardship of the Canadian economy during the global financial crisis will be remembered worldwide.”
