25@25 entry: Asian Representation in the Media

Vincent Galvez and his friend are discussing the meanings of understanding what it means to be Asian through media representations. Beyond the stereotypical portrayals of Asian cultures in the media, they argue for better recognition and understanding of the nuances and idiosyncrasies of the Asian aspects of their lives. From movie makers to TV show producers and educators, they ask for everybody to think about and engage in deconstructing stereotypes.
