Alberta’s Representative to Asia Announced

Alberta Premier Alison Redford announced that Gary Mar, former Cabinet Minister and Washington office representative, will take up the position in the Alberta Hong Kong Office to lead the province’s outreach efforts as Alberta’s representative to Asia. Mar’s priorities will include developing business, cultural and educational relations with Asia, as well as providing advice on how to tap into the various opportunities in the region. He will be supporting the Government of Alberta’s efforts to pursue new markets identified in the province’s international strategy.
