Alter NRG Corp. Forms Strategic Alliance with Engineering and Development Company in India

Calgary-based Alter NRG Corp. announced that it has signed a strategic alliance agreement with SMS EnvoCare Ltd. (SMS), a large Indian civil engineering and infrastructure development company. SMS will market technology by Westinghouse Plasma Corp., a wholly-owned subsidiary of NRG, for any combination of hazardous waste. SMS will also operate as Alter NRG’s preferred partner for the design and construction of plants associated with Alter NRG’s plasma gasifier for hazardous waste applications for facilities under 300 tonnes per day. The agreement is for a term of two years and is exclusive in India. Alter NRG is pursuing alternative energy solutions to meet the growing demand for environmentally responsible energy in world markets.
