BC’s Aurora Solar Receives Patent Allowance from Taiwan

North Vancouver-headquartered Aurora Solar Technologies Inc. has received an infrared-based measurement patent allowance from Taiwan’s Intellectual Property Office. The patent covers the photovoltaic industry (generating electric power by using solar cells to convert energy from the sun), but can also be applied to other processes. This is the sixth national patent granted allowed from several of the company's patent co-operation treaty applications, with other patents being granted in China, Japan, Korea, the United States and the European Union. Aurora's mission is to deliver results to the photovoltaic industry through measurement and control of critical processes during solar cell manufacturing.
