Canada Announces Visa Waiver for Taiwan

Canada announced that it has lifted the Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) requirement, effective November 22, 2010, for ordinary Taiwan passports that contain a personal identification number and are issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Taiwan. The visa waiver is expected to benefit individuals who are interested in language studies or other shorter-term (fewer than six months) educational opportunities.
