Canadian Trade Office in Taipei to Co-Sponsor Regional Conference in May

The Canadian Trade Office in Taipei, Taiwan (CTOT) will co-sponsor a conference at National Chengchi University on May 5-6, 2011. The conference, entitled “Living With Giants: A Canada-East Asia Dialogue on Regional and Global Issues,” will bring together scholars from across the region to discuss themes relevant to Canadian foreign policy in East Asia, including economic prosperity, regional integration, regional security, energy security, and the unique threats posed by environmental and demographic issues. Professors from the University of Alberta, University of British Columbia, University of Ottawa and University of Toronto will also speak at the event.
