Chinese Companies Select ViXS System Inc. Chip Solutions

ViXS Systems Inc., a Toronto-based provider of smart network multimedia processors, announced that two China-based companies have selected its technology for their products. The XCode 4210 multimedia processor has been chosen by Haier Software Co. Ltd. for its next generation hybrid set-top boxes and the XCode 4210 media processor has been chosen by Xiamen Overseas Chinese Electronic Co. Ltd. (Xoceco) to power the company’s Smart TV product line-up. Haier’s hybrid set-top box receives linear video through the cable network, and over-the-top, or internet video services through an internet connection. Xoceco is a digital TV manufacturer with exports under its own brand and other brands including Insignia.
