Fairmont Scheduled to Open New Property in China

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts of Toronto is scheduled to open a new property, the Fairmont Nanjing, in China’s Jiangsu in late 2012. The hotel will be part of the JinAo Plaza development situated in Hexi New Town, a growing commercial district in southwest Nanjing. The hotel will be developed by Jiangsu Golden Land Group Real Estate Development Co Ltd., a real estate company focused on commercial and residential enterprises in Nanjing. This hotel represents Fairmont’s growing presence in Asia with four sister hotels in China, and one each in Singapore and the Philippines.
