Hitachi Purchases Canadian Company's Patents and Sales Rights

Hitachi Construction Machinery of Japan has purchased all patents, intellectual property, and sales rights for debris screening machinery from Premier Tech of Riviere du Loup, Quebec, for C$4 million. The equipment is used to sort concrete scraps and other debris after buildings are demolished. Since 2001, Hitachi has been marketing Premier Tech’s equipment in Japan, but it will now manufacture the equipment and expand sales throughout Asia and Australia.
