Imax Signs Agreement for Five Theatres in Thailand with Major Cineplex

Toronto-based entertainment technology company, Imax Corporation, and Major Cineplex, a commercial theatre operator in Thailand, announced an agreement to install five Imax digital theatre systems in Thailand. Under the terms of the agreement, Major Cineplex will open two theatres in greater Bangkok by October, 2010. Major Cineplex Group is the largest cinema operator in Thailand with 363 screens open at 49 locations. Imax Corporation specializes in immersive motion picture technologies and currently operates in 47 countries.
