International Datacasting Corporation Receives Order for Tiernan Video and Audio Products in Vietnam and India

Ottawa-based International Datacasting Corporation, a provider of advanced solutions for the distribution of broadband multimedia content, announced that it has received orders valued at over US$700,000 for its newly acquired Tiernan video and audio lines of products from customers in Vietnam, India and Africa. In Vietnam, Tiernan’s products have been selected for a major digital satellite news gathering (DSNG) project. Using Tiernan’s MPEG-2/MPEG-4 HD/SD encoders, the customer, will be able to broadcast HD and SD simultaneously, using a compact DSNG design for the Third Asian Indoor Games, taking place in Hanoi later this fall. In India, Tiernan’s ABR202A Professional Audio Broadcast Receivers are being deployed for the continued expansion of the All India Radio network, which provides a variety of programming throughout India and is one of world’s largest radio networks.
