Kenn Borek Air Fined C$25,000 for Unlawful Exports to Burma

Calgary-based Kenn Borek Air Ltd. has been issued a fine under the Customs Act for C$25,000 for an unlawful export of an airplane and aircraft parts to Burma, which is under Canada’s Area Control List. Kenn Borek Air, which pleaded guilty to the charges, made the sale in 2007 without valid export permits. Kenn Borek is an aircraft charter and leasing operation that specializes in DC3-T and Twin Otter maintenance, parts, repair, overhaul and modification.
