LG-Nortel Networks Multimedia Phone Launched in South Korea

Korea Telecom has launched the IP3870 IMS phone from LG-Nortel, a joint venture of LG Electronics and Nortel Networks. The IP3870 is built around IMS standards, which make it easy for carriers to deliver rich voice, video, music and other content directly to customers in their homes using IP technologies. The phone has a 4.3-inch video screen, built-in camera, SD/MMC card reader and stereo speakers. The Wi-Fi base station lets customers make video calls; send and receive MMS messages; enjoy their favorite music and movies; access weather, banking and other information services; and surf the Web over their existing broadband connection.
