Matrikon Inc. Acquires Australian Integration and Automation Company

Edmonton-based Matrikon Inc., a provider of industrial intelligence solutions, announced that it has acquired Integration Automation and Control Pty Ltd. (IAC), a private Newcastle, Australia-based company. Established in 2000, IAC provides automation and information systems services to the Hunter Valley coal industry. The coal industry is a major component of Matrikon’s Asia-Pacific business. Matrikon acquired IAC for A$1.65 million in cash for all issued and outstanding shares of IAC plus the value of the net assets of the company on September 1, 2009.
