Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Visits China This Week
Transport and Infrastructure Minister, John Baird, is travelling to China this week for a nine-day series of meetings with Chinese government officials and members of the Chinese and Canadian business community. The Minister’s visit is aimed at enhancing the relationship between Canada and China, fostering cooperation in the transportation sector and seeing what lessons Canada might learn from China’s ambitious infrastructure renewal and expansion programs. Mr. Baird’s itinerary includes meetings with senior Chinese officials and members of the business community in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Macau.
