Roots Canada Plans to Open Stores in China

Toronto-based retailer Roots Canada Ltd., announced that it plans to enter into a joint venture with a Hong Kong-based retailer to open 100 Roots stores in China over the next five years. Over the next 18 months the company plans to increase the number of stores it has in East Asia by 18 – it currently operates 12 stores in Taiwan and 65 in South Korea.
