Samsung Signs Agreement with Videotron to Provide Tru2Way Service in Canada

Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., a South Korean telecommunication and technology company, announced that it has signed an agreement with Quebec-based Videotron Ltd. to use Samsung’s high-definition, multi-room digital video recorder solution to provide Tru2Way service in Canada. Samsung’s set-top boxes boast advanced features including high-definition video and functionality for recording media files. Samsung set-top boxes will be available through Videotron’s retail network and is expected to enhance Videotron’s Illico Digital TV service. Videotron, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Quebecor Media Inc., is an integrated communications company engaged in cable broadcasting, interactive multimedia development, Internet access services, cable telephony and wireless telephone services.
