SaskPower Signs MOUs in China and Japan on Carbon Capture Technology

The Saskatchewan government anounced that SaskPower and the Huaneng Group Research and Development Centre in China signed a Memorandum of Understanding to seek out opportunities to co-operate on carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology. SaskPower also signed a MOU with the Sojitz Corporation in Japan to jointly study CCS technology. The agreement will allow SaskPower to learn from Sojitz’s cutting edge research as a member of the Global Carbon Capture and Storage Institute. Sojitz, meanwhile, will be able to explore CCS opportunities in North America.
