SouthGobi Issued Mining License for Soumber Deposit in Mongolia

Vancouver-based SouthGobi Resources Ltd. announced that it has been issued a mining license from Mongolia’s Mineral Resource Authority for its wholly-owned Mongolian operating subsidiary, SouthGobi Sands LLC. The new license pertains to the Soumber deposit which is located 20 km east of SouthGobi’s flagship Ovoot Tolgoi Mine. An initial term of 30 years with the option of two 20-year extension was granted for the mining license. SouthGobi Resources is focused on exploration and development of its Permian-age metallurgical and thermal coal deposits in Mongolia’s South Gobi region.
