TaiMed Biologics of Taiwan and Ambrilia Biopharma Enter Global Licensing Agreement for Investigational HIV Compounds

Taiwan-based TaiMed Biologics Inc. and Ambrilia Biopharma Inc. of Montreal announced the signing of a definitive agreement under which TaiMed Biologics will acquire exclusive worldwide rights to manufacture, develop and commercialize both protease inhibitor (PI) and integrase inhibitor programs for HIV. Ambrilia will receive US$250,000 in upfront payment and may also receive up to US$7.6 million in development, regulatory and sales milestone payments. TaiMed Biologics discovers, develops and delivers medicines that help patients prevail over serious infectious diseases, and Ambrilia Biopharma focuses on the discovery and development of treatments for viral diseases and cancer.
