Wi-LAN Signs Licensing Agreement with CyberLink of Taiwan
Ottawa-based Wi-LAN Inc. a technology innovation and licensing company, announced that CyberLink Corporation of Taiwan has signed a multi-year running royalty licence that gives CyberLink access to Wi-LAN’s V-Chip technology for its products which enable a computer to be used as a TV or PC/TV. Inventions in the company’s portfolio have been licensed by companies that manufacture or sell a wide range of communication and consumer electronics products including 3G cellular handsets, Wi-Fi-enabled laptops, Wi-Fi/DSL routers, xDSL infrastructure equipment, WiMAX base stations and digital television receivers.
