Canada Asia Review 2003
Published: October 29, 2003 in Research Reports (72 pages)
Abstract:
The Foundation’s annual survey, Canada Asia Review 2003, examines Canada’s relationship with Asia and the impact of major developments during 2002. It points to the risk Canada faces of losing its competitive position in Asia because business people, and some policy makers, have focused so heavily on the US market since the Canada-US Free Trade Agreement came into effect, and are overlooking the continuing strength of Asian economies. The report includes a summary of submissions by APF to the “dialogue” on Canada’s foreign policy initiated by Minister for Foreign Affairs Bill Graham.
