Canada's Transactions in Services with Asia: Commercial Services, 2014

Canada experienced a deficit in commercial services trade with Asia in 2014 due to the magnitude of the negative balance with India and Japan. Our top destination for the export of commercial services, Australia, accounted for 18% of Canada's receipts from Asia while Canada purchased 28% of its Asian commercial services from Japan. In 2014, Canada exported about eight times as many services as it imported to Indonesia. Other than Japan, in 2014, Canada experienced negative balances with India, Pakistan and Philippines.
