China Goes Global, 2009

in Survey Reports   (32 pages)

Abstract:

Results of a 2009 survey of Chinese companies' outward direct intentions, including specific information on proposed Chinese investment in Canada.  It shows a cooling in offshore investment intentions as a result of the global recession, although some 42% of 1,104 companies surveyed still intend to invest overseas, though generally not on a large scale.  Canada is seen as one of the top target countries because of its open attitude to Chinese investment.
