China Goes Global, 2009

in Chinese Investment Intentions   (32 pages)

Abstract:

Results of a 2009 survey of Chinese companies’ outward direct intentions, including specific information on proposed Chinese investment in Canada.  It shows a cooling in offshore investment intentions as a result of the global recession, although some 42% of 1,104 companies surveyed still intend to invest overseas, though generally not on a large scale.  Canada is seen as one of the top target countries because of its open attitude to Chinese investment.

China Goes Global 2009 was produced in part with the support of Western Economic Diversification Canada.
