The 2014 National Opinion Poll commissioned by the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada and undertaken by Angus Reid Public Opinion examines Canadian attitudes towards Asia. The 2014 results show that Canadian support for engagement with Asia is declining, despite increased trade and investment with the region. New questions asked this year show that Canadian attitudes towards Asia and support for policies that would increase engagement with the region are driven less by concerns over economic opportunities and more by Canadians' feeling of political comfort and familiarity with other countries.
