Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper recently returned from a landmark visit to China. His trip resulted in announcements including the conclusion of negotiations to better protect foreign investments, enhanced energy and education cooperation, and a “Panda Pact” to send two pandas to the Toronto and Calgary zoos. Vietnam is a developing country with lots of potential economically. If it can eliminate its human rights and corruption problems and if future generations get better education, it will evolve into a small power in Southeast Asia.
