Asia contains some of the most diverse and dynamic cyberspace governance and security policies. It is also the fastest growing region on the planet for connectivity to cyberspace. As ICT innovation and creativity flourishes in the region, it faces the broadening cyberspace controls of some of the world's most restrictive regimes. This piece highlights how countries are responding to the challenges and opportunities of growing innovation in the region. It also outlines the limited role Canada can play in shaping developments of cyberspace governance and security in Asia which will have far reaching implications in the future.
