Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada Appoints Dr. Eva Busza as Vice-President, Knowledge and Research

Vancouver, BC – November 1, 2012 - The Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada today announced the appointment of Dr. Eva Busza as Vice-President, Knowledge and Research. She will provide leadership for the Foundation’s research team and activities.

"Dr. Eva Busza has had an exceptional career on the international stage with a strong focus on the Asia Pacific region,” said Mr. Yuen Pau Woo, President and CEO of the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada. “We are delighted to welcome Dr. Busza to strengthen our research efforts in the face of growing demand for high-quality information and analysis on Canada-Asia issues.”

Prior to joining the foundation, she was Director of Policy and Strategic Planning for UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. She has over fifteen years experience working with government, business, and civil society on a range of social, economic, and security programs throughout Asia Pacific. Ms. Busza holds a Ph.D. from Stanford University and a Master’s degree from the University of British Columbia. In addition to teaching in the Department of Government at the College of William and Mary, she has been a research fellow at several universities and institutes including: the Columbia University, George Washington University, the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, the Brookings Institution, and the Center for International Security and Arms Control at Stanford University.
