BC-based Nutritional Gummy Producer Enters China’s E-commerce Market

Richmond, British Columbia-based nutritional gummy producer Herbaland will enter the Chinese market by partnering with a subsidiary of Alibaba, which owns Tmall Global, an e-commerce platform. In 2018, Tmall Global and Tmall in China were reported to reach 500 million users and have a 55 per cent stake in China’s e-commerce market. A 2017 study showed that the Asia Pacific gummy vitamin market will grow by 5.2 per cent annually over the next eight years, reaching C$4.17 billion by 2025.
